4. Using the SafeQuard for Outlook Solution

4.1. Set Up

4.1.1. How to accept the SafeQuard for Outlook add-in permissions

Warning

Currently permissions needs to be accepted on the web version of Outlook.

Running the SafeQuard for Outlook add-in for the first time will prompt you to accept the permissions.

Tip

Permissions consent will be requested for first time user.

4.2. Encryption

  1. Compose New Mail

  2. Select Insert > Click SafeQuard for Outlook

  3. Select your encryption functions

    • Encrypt Both Attachment and Message Body Button

    • Encrypt Message Body Button

    • Encrypt Attachment Button

  4. Replacement of Email Content with Encrypted Version by SafeQuard

Warning

Ensure that the email is not edited after encryption, as any modifications may lead to decryption failures.

Above shows an example of an email where both the message body and attachment have been encrypted.

  1. Email can now be sent as usual.

4.3. Decryption

  1. Navigate to your encrypted email

  2. Open the email and click on the SafeQuard for Email add-in
