SQEE Use Cases
===============

SQEE (SafeQuard for Email) helps protect sensitive information exchanged through email by encrypting email content and, where selected, attachments. It is designed for situations where confidential information needs to be transmitted to authorized recipients.

This section describes common use cases and provides general instructions for using SafeQuard to protect email communications.

    SafeQuard provides a Progressive Web App (PWA) for accessing its email
    encryption and decryption features.

    Choose the appropriate application based on your user group:

Transmission of Secrets
-----------------------

**Scenario: Sending an API Key to Activate a Service**

Company A provides a software service to Customer B.
To activate the service, Customer B requires an API key issued by Company A.

Company A uses SQEE to encrypt an email containing the API key and sends it to Customer B.

Customer B then decrypts the email using a supported SafeQuard workflow to retrieve the API key and activate the service.

Send/Receive Confidential Information
---------------------------------------------

**Scenario: Sharing a Confidential Financial Report**

Company A engages an external auditing firm, Company B, to review its financial performance.

Company A needs to send a confidential financial report containing revenue figures, operating costs, and business projections.

To protect the information during transmission, Company A uses SQEE to encrypt the email and its attached report before sending it to Company B.

Company B decrypts the email and attachment to review the report.

Protecting Personal Data
------------------------

**Scenario: Submitting Customer Identity Documents**

Customer A applies for a financial service provided by Company B.

As part of the verification process, Customer A must submit identity documents containing personal information.

Customer A uses SQEE to encrypt an email and its attached identity documents before sending them to Company B.

An authorized recipient at Company B decrypts the email and documents to complete the identity verification process.
